Fresh cranberries steeped in a simple syrup with cinnamon and cloves creates a comforting CRANBERRY TEA that warms you through and through. A special holiday treat perfect for sipping in front of a cozy fire on a chilly night!

Not only is this Cranberry Tea a comforting cup of sweet, tangy deliciousness, it is also full of good-for-you stuff! It’s true! Cranberries are loaded with antioxidants, rich in Vitamin C and fiber, while having only 45 calories per cup!

This stunning deep, dark red berry has a very short season and is typically available October through December, making it perfect for the holiday season. When purchasing cranberries, look for fresh plump berries that are firm to the touch and have that characteristic deep red color. Fresh cranberries can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 weeks. It is important to weed out any soft cranberries you might find before storing. One soft cranberry will spoil the whole bunch! I like to stock up on cranberries during the season and keep them in my freezer to enjoy year round.

To make this tea add 4 cups water and 6 ounces fresh cranberries in a large saucepan. Bring to a boil and reduce heat to mid-low. Simmer for 30 minutes.

Next add 1/2 cup sugar, 2 tablespoons orange juice, 1 tablespoon lemon juice, 1 cinnamon stick, 2 whole cloves, and a pinch of salt. Stir to combine.

Remove from heat, cover and steep for 1 hour. When the tea is ready, you can leave the cranberries in the tea or strain for serving if you prefer. This tea is also quite tasty over ice! Enjoy!
